Mr. Mantia graduated from Brooklyn Law School in 2000 and is admitted to practice in the State of New York as well as the United States District Courts in the Southern and Eastern District of New York. Mr. Mantia joined the firm in summer of 2008 after previously working two years as a general counsel for a real estate holding company and six years for a mid size real estate firm. Mr. Mantia has a varied and diversified practice with the firm which includes creditor representation in bankruptcy; condominium and commercial foreclosure proceedings; personal injury defense for property owners; construction litigation; mechanics lien foreclosures and Article 78 proceedings related to mechanics liens; general commercial litigation; proceedings involving violations of debtor creditor law and piercing the corporate veil; judgment enforcement and collections; applications for Temporary Restraining Orders; Surrogates Court proceedings; administrative proceedings and criminal proceedings related to building code violations; as well as assisting in the daily handling of summary holdover and non-payment proceedings. Mr. Mantia practices in various forums and in various boroughs appearing in the Civil Court of the City of New York, the Supreme Court of the State of New York and the United States District Courts. Mr. Mantia is active in handling appearances for motions, hearings, depositions and trials and prepares various pleadings, motions, briefs and discovery documents for the actions handled by the firm. Mr. Mantia is one of our more senior associates and is a valued member of our team. |
